Julie L. LaLuzerne is the founder of Door County Therapy Dog Teams, Inc., and she is also a certified therapy dog handler.
Establishing a nonprofit dedicated to therapy dogs in the community has been a lifelong aspiration of hers. She played a pivotal role in setting up the organization's initial classes.
Julie's passion for dogs and her desire to spread happiness through their companionship drives her dedication to this cause. Her motto reflects her belief in the transformative power of therapy dogs: "If one of my therapy dog teams makes someone smile and have a better day, it makes all the hard work and dedication worth it!"
Julie's commitment to the well-being of others, facilitated through the love and support of therapy dogs, is evident in her efforts to create and sustain Door County Therapy Dog Teams, Inc.
Moira Arzich has been involved with therapy dogs for a significant period, initially as an Illinois therapy dog group member. After retiring as a teacher and school principal, she relocated to Door County, Wisconsin. There, she discovered the Door County Therapy Dog team and enthusiastically joined their ranks, driven by her longstanding passion for therapy dog work.
Bringing with her a wealth of skills and knowledge gained from her previous involvement with therapy dogs, Moira quickly became an integral part of the team. Her willingness to assist wherever needed demonstrates her commitment to making Door County Therapy Dog Teams, Inc. a success. Moira's dedication and expertise contribute to the organization's ability to fulfill its mission of spreading joy and comfort through therapy dog interactions in the community.
